Prestigious Awards for Honda Plant

The two honors include the “Best Compact Car” award for its consistently popular Honda Civic sedan, and “Platinum Plant” award to recognize HMIN as the best of its kind in the US. The “Platinum Plant” award is indeed prestigious as HMIN is only the third automobile factory in the world to receive this award. This award is considered to be a milestone for the plant’s growth as this much coveted prize came at a time when the plant is still in its budding state( the plant is actively engaged into production for less than three years).

With the award of “Best Compact Car”, Honda’s Civic Sedan joins the elite group of Element, Accord, Insight Hybrid, Fit, Accord Crosstour, and Ridgeline as “industry leading models”.

The awards were given based on a survey conducted among 400,000 recent car buyers where the goal for the automobile manufacturers was to attain a lowest score and HMIN scored an unbelievable 24 points in the competition. Hundreds of Honda employees attended the ceremony to witness such a memorable event!
