Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, producing the Civic Sedan, was one of only three plants around the world to earn the Platinum Plant Quality Award. The Suzuka, Japan plant, line 1, earned a Silver Plant Quality Award, Asia Pacific (tie), for production of Civic and Insight, while the East Liberty, Ohio, plant clinched a Bronze Plant Quality Award, North/South America, for production of the Accord Crosstour, CR-V and Element.

Honda officials boasted over this success and said that the baseline of Honda has been understanding the customer demands deeply and producing highest quality products which have today paid off. They further added that such recognitions give the brand a boost and acknowledge the tireless effort the Honda team put to bring out the best.

It is a great day for Honda as it has been the industry topper with seven models including its top selling Civic and Accord that have earned the highest initial quality ranking in their respective segments.
